IMAP are currently developing a GIS database for the whole of the IMAP region. You can access the IMAP Geographic Information System through the link on this page.

IMAP Project Teams: Data requirements

Data needs to be supplied in one of the following formats to pass onto our contractor for loading on the IMAP GIS:

  • Mapinfo TAB files
  • Esri SHP  files
  • KML format.

 

For an example of a GIS data specification for consultants supplying data; please refer to the document supplied by the City of Port Phillip.

Data will only be updated onto the IMAP GIS with approval by all IMAP Councils.

IMAP Councils will have access to downloading any IMAP project layers from the GIS (Note: these project layers will be password protected).
